1st. COMPETITION 'ASTRONOMIC IMAGE'

The Agrupación
Astronómica de Gran Canaria calls together
the 1st competition 'Astronomic Image' whose prizes
has been donated by La
Caja de Canarias and with the collaboration
of the Cabildo
Insular de Gran Canaria and the Instituto
de Astrofísica de Canarias.
The show and award will take place in the 4th Astronomic
Week of Gran Canaria, in November from the 2nd to
the 5th, 1999.
Our purpose is to potentiate and to broadcast the
interest for the astronomy through the astrophotograph,
CCD and artistic works international competition,
which will take place every year, with a total prize
of EUR 1800, which will be distributed in different
prizes for each category.
