This page is the entrance
hall of the "Al Bustan" Gallery.
The purpose of the Gallery is not to
show-off pictures but to give the visitors a better understanding of some
of the objects which inhabit our large Universe. For that purpose, a
brief and simple text introduction is given for the objects covered on
each section of the Gallery.
The pictures displayed were taken with the
equipment presented in the
"Equipment" page. In
addition to those pictures taken in the Observatory you can also find others
taken with large telescope facilites, such as the Hubble Space
Telescope (HST).
The ladder to the top of
astrophotography does have many steps. Scope collimation, focusing,
imaging techniques and image processing are a few of the various topics that
must be mastered for a good astrophoto.
The
pictures shown in the
Gallery are not masterpieces.
They just represent the work produced by an amateur astronomer with a
limited spare time and limited budget.
