Description |
In a rather barren field, this is
a large galaxy, conspicuous enough for an inclusion in Jack Bennett's list
of "comet-like objects" . NGC list creator Dreyer
calls it quite bright (magnitude 11.5), large ( 5.3'x1.6'
), very moderately extended ( position angle 43°) and with a much
brighter middle.
North is towards the upper left (330°) in this 15 x 10 arcmin field of
view.
