Description |
Mag 10.1 resp. mag 9.6 spiral
galaxies discovered by Messier in 1780. M 65
exhibits a long dark absorption lane while M 66 shows a clear spiraling
structure. At 30 million lightyears, they form an interacting group (Trio
in Leo) with nearby NGC 3628.
