Description |
This barred spiral galaxy is the
finest object of its type in the southern hemisphere. The ends of
the central bar extend in faint streams that eventually make up a large,
open but imperfect ellipse. NGC 1365 lies closer to us than the Fornax
cluster of galaxies. |
