Constellation Cetus (Cet)
Description This large, nearly edge-on spiral galaxy belongs to the nearby Sculptor group (see NGC 55, NGC 300, NGC 253, NGC 7793).  All are late-type spirals and they form the nearest collection of galaxies outside of our own.  NGC 247 is fairly faint  and features an ill-defined center, a prominent  star on its southern edge and a "void" on the northern side.

There is also a higher resolution image taken with a 14.5" RC telescope.

First light for the MN106 ! Still some issues with centering of the focuser and getting good flats.
