Description |
NGC
6445, a small planetary nebula, lives in a very busy part of the Milky Way
in Sagittarius, just west of a mag 7.6 star. The distance to NGC
6445 is estimated at about 4500 light years. The brighter part of
the nebula is about the size of Jupiter.
Seeing conditions were mediocre, but still alowed to bring out the large
extensions. The field is 15 x 10 arcmins with north towards the top.
