Designation |
NGC 7424 |
Object type |
Spiral galaxy |
Coordinates |

-41°03' (Grus) |
Description |
In spite of its large 10x8 arcmin
size, this nice spiral galaxy is not mentioned in Hartung's "Astronomical
Objects for Southern Telescopes", possibly because of its low surface
brightness. Turbulent atmospheric conditions made imaging and
processing a challenge and caused an overall softness to the final result. |
