Description In an area about 15 arcmin wide, this striking field contains three fairly bright and differently oriented spiral galaxies.  They form part of a group which includes NGC 7552 - just outside the field of view - and about a dozen fainter galaxies.  Situated at declination -42° in the southern constellation of Grus (The Crane) the trio lies about 60 million lightyears beyond the foreground stars.
