Box for Electronic Management of the 2005XA Modification

We have to realise the electronic part connected to the the parallel port and to our video camera box. It will be connected to the 12v and to the connectors coming from our "USB Live" inteface.... I choose a plastic box (12 x 7 x 5 cm) with amovible sides to easily drill the holes for the parallel and serial connectors, +12v and the small 'power ON' LED (optionnal) :o)

You should print the picture on the left to work on your "electronic tests board" and check for each connection you soldered between components.... Its easy to miss one of these connections !!! Start with the 4 ICs. Take care to put them at a good distance for additional components and wires :o) Once the ICs are soldered, solder each component and connect each pin to its destination(s) according to the picture... Check your wires/solders and check for unwilling bridges/shortcuts !!!

After some hours of work, your circuit board will be ready to be inserted into the box. You will have to make the last connections between this plate and the connectors :o)

We now have to connect everything and make a try with long exposure, using Steve Chambers' "Highlight" software, exclusively done for modified EXview 1004x or 2005x.... Take care of the flash !!! ;o)
