Equipment
The club house is at the 16th floor of a tower, 1 place Saint-Just in Fossé
de l'Aumone district (Gennevilliers). A terracy in direct access allows observations.
A reflector of 100 mm and another one of 200 mm to be commissionned.
A library and subscriptions to magazines : l'Astronomie, Ciel &
Espace, Sky & Telescope.
A photo lab and two computers.
Activities
- WEEKLY MEETING
On every tuesday, at club house, from 8 h 30 p.m. .
These meetings are dedicated to learning of astronomy pratice or to planning
observations.
- OUTINGS
Sky pollution in parisian area challenges observation.
So we drive to sky-gazing parties in Normandy or in far peri-urban locations.
All the way, weather is short-comming practice of astronomy in north of
France.
- OCCULTATIONS
Moon-grazing occultations of stars.
Occultations of stars by asteroids, in link with EAON (European Asteroidal
Occultation Network).
- MEMBERS TRAVELS
Members have observed a lot of
sun eclipses.
In 1986 two of them observed comet
Halley
