The Pacman Nebula
|
| NGC 281 is an H II region in the constellation of Cassiopeia and part of the Perseus Spiral Arm.
It includes or is near the open cluster IC 1590, the double star HD 5005. It's a busy workshop of star formation. Stars are surely forming there right now. The entire NGC 281 system lies about 10 thousand light years distant. More informations are also available at the seds.org website |
