Charles Robert d´Esterre discovered this dwarf
nova on Voigtlander plate,116 take on 1911 on November 13. D´Esterre
estimated the outburst magnitude UV Per as 10.5. Recent outburst observations
show that following an initial outburst to typically 12th mag, the star
generally fades rapidly to below the magnitude of the 16th .
Outburst report was by P. Schmeer (Germany) mag 11.5 on 2003 November 4. CCD confirmation of the outburst was provided by Tonny Vanmunster (CBA Belgium Observatory. According to the AAVSO International Database, the last outburst of UV Per peaked at around mag 11.5 on December 24, 2000 . |
