New cataclysmic variable discovered by Nakamura.-
Yuji Nakamura, Kameyama, Mie-ken, Japan (reported to , Central Bureau for Astronomical Telegrams, by Syuichi Nakano, Sumoto, Japan)The first positive detection is by Nakamura, m_p = 11.5(Tri-X films taken using 200-mm f/4.0 lens ) on June 13.632 UT.
The nature of this object is not yet known. It does not appear to be a classical nova, and is quite blue.
The VSNET Collaboration Team succeeded in observing the new CV in Her (OT_J183926+260410). The lightcurve of the object provided undisputed evidence for superhumps (ampitude: 0.09 mag). Our preliminary analysis indicates that the most likely period of superhumps is 0.0571 d, which will be improved in future observations. In conjunction with the faintness of preoutburst images and the overall light curve of object, the object is very likely a WZ Sge-type dwarf nova. We can safely exclude the suggested possibility of an AM CVn star. (VSNET Alert 8191)
