Nova Scuti 2009 (V496 Sct)

 


Discovery by Nishimura (Miyawaki, Kakegawa, Japan) the 2009 November 8.4 UT on unfiltered CCD magnitude of 8.8, using 120-mm camera lens. 
Position: RA = 18m43m45.57s , Dec: -7°36'42.0" (equinox 2000.0) - see IAU Circular #9093.

August 15.980, 2010 observation

Setup: Celestron 9 telescope (0.235-m diameter) + LISA spectrograph (sampling = 4.2 A/pixel - R = 620) + QSI532 CCD camera (6.8 microns pixel used at bin. 2x2).
Observatory: OHP (France)

V mag. = 11.8 (source AAVSO)
Exposure: 6 x 600 sec.
