Nova Sagittarii 2007 (V5558 Sgr) 


V5558 Sgr was discovered on 2007  April 14.7 UT by Japanese Nova searcher Yukio Sakurai at magnitude 10.3 on two 20-s CCD images (CBET 934)

The slow nova et peculiar V5558 Sgr nova appears close to its brighter at V = 7.6 near July/August, 2007 (The light curve does indeed show a remarkable variation for a Nova

Position: RA = 18m10m18.26s , Dec: -18°46'51.9" (equinox 2000.0)


May 24.105, 2011 observation

Setup: Celestron 11 telescope (0.28-m diameter) + LISA spectrograph (R = 750) + Atik314L+ CCD camera.
Observatory: Castanet Tolosan (France)
Observer: Christian Buil

V mag. = 13.5 (source AAVSO)
Exposure: 9 x 300 sec.
