To display information associated with an object shown on the screen, just double left-click on it. This invokes an information window which reports on the object selected (or display this information in the Control Panel if it is displayed in the main screen). You can also right-click (when the cursor in on the object about which you want information) and select the command Info… in the contextual menu which is displayed on the screen.
