C2A est capable de lire le
catalogue First U.S. Naval Observatory (USNO) Astrometric Robotic
Telescope Catalog, URAT1.
Ce catalogue couvre la plus grande partie de l'hémisphère
Nord et descend en déclinaison jusqu'à -24,8° degrés
par endroits (pour couvrir le champ actuel de Pluton). La plage de magnitude
R couverte va de 3 à 18,5 avec une précision des positions
de 5 à 40 mas selon l'historique des observations et la magnitude
des étoiles. Ce catalogue a été construit à
partir de 2 années d'observations de l'astrophotographe au Naval
Observatory Flagstaff Station (NOFS). Les mouvements propres du catalogue
URAT1 ont été déterminés exclusivement à
partir de 2 époques d'observations URAT1 et des données
du Two Micron All Sky Survey (2MASS) autour de l'époque 2000. Cela
permet d'obtenir des erreurs sur les mouvements propres de l'ordre de
5 à 8 mas/an.
Le catalogue contient 228 millions d'objets (principalement des étoiles)
parmi lesquelles 188 millions sont communs avec le catalogue 2MASS. Il
n'est pas nécessaire de compiler le catalogue URAT1, C2A peut le
lire dans son format natif.
You select this catalogue as the current catalogue through
the Stars tab of the Options
dialogue box, or by SHIFT-right-clicking on the map. You can choose to
display either of the available magnitude bands by clicking the Advanced
options... button on the Stars tab of the Options
dialogue box.
