First pictures with the Vixen VISAC VC200L

First light with the VISAC !
Picture of NGC 891 with quick polar alignment and focusing. 20 frames of 30 sec each (10 min total exposure).
I used a flat taken with the Newton telescope, 4 months ago. The turbulence was relatively strong. On the single frames, the stars FWHM are between 2.7 and 2.9 arcsec (to be compared with the typical 3-4 arcsec for the old Newton) :-)

Another picture; better focusing, better polar alignment, but full Moon...
43 frames of 30s each (21.5 min total exposure). The CCD was freezing, and the flat correction was made with an old flat. I had to correct the sky background with Iris to get an acceptable result.
The picture is a bit improved wrt the one above.
