IC 405, Flaming Star nebula

IC 405 is part of the nebular complex of Auriga. The other main component is IC 410, out of this field. The characteristics of IC 410 are the colors of the nebula near the main star, AE Aur, mainly blue-violet. This region is named "flaming star nebula" due to the colors and the shape of these colored areas. A detail is here below.
