Here are some images of the Solar System taken with my instruments.

Summary:



Venus
Venus taken at 39 and 14 days of distance. Note that approaching the conjunction with the Sun, Venus become thinner and contemporary increases of diameter.

Mean of 150 frames captured with a Vixen b/n videocamera at direct focus of a 20cm SC f/10, used at 6 cm of aperture.

This image is amazing because of the thinness of the Venus scythe. The thickness is only 0,6", exactly equal to the diffaction limit of my 20 cm telescope!
Image realized from the best three frames from a Panasonic DS-15 digital camcorder at the indirect focus of the 20 cm SC f/10, used at full aperture and with a 40mm eyepiece + barlow 3x. Seeing II-III.

This image show the maximum extension of the scythe, thanks to a logaritmic elaboration that show the faintest part of the scythe, but it lose all the details.
Sum of 20 images of 0,2s realized with a Hi-SIS33 CCD camera, 20cm SC telescope + 2x barlow (4000mm resulting focal).

Jupiter satellites
The Satellites of Jupiter: from left Callisto, Ganimed and, overlapped, Io ed Europa. Below Jupiter it's visible the star SAO 146696 of magnitude 8,8. Image taken from Tradate (VA, Italy) in Dicember 15, 1998 at 18 UT. Taken at the prime focus of my 8" Meade Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope with 2000mm of focal. 10 seconds expusure on Fuji SuperG800Plus film.

The occultation of the star HIP20994 behind Jupiter. All the star visible are labeled (up to mag 11). Data: SC 20cm telescope at f/10, 15 sec exposure, PJ400, h 20.50 UT, November 4, 2000, the image is only a part of the whole frame.
