M 44

Clickable objects (on the first image): Back to: This constellation is less easy to notice, but there is a good surprise: in the center of it there is the M44 open cluster, named also "beehive" or "manger" for his position, centered in the four central stars of Cancer. At binoculars M44 is one of the best open clusters. Another good cluster is M67, that is positioned a few degrees South of M44.
