Magallaesen Hodei Txikia (MHT) gugandik 200000 argi-urtera kokatzen da, 7000 argi-urtetako diametroa eta gutxi gora-behera 7 bilioi Eguzki masa duen galaxia irregularra da. MHT hego hemisferiotik ikus daiteke Tucana eta Hydrus konstelazioen artean, bertako galaxia multzoko kidea da Esne Bidearen bizilaguna eta segur aski galaxia satelitea. Irudian ikus daitekeen izar multzoa (47 Tucanae) zeruan ikus daitekeen izar multzorik distiratsuena da Omega Centauriren ondoren eta masa handienetakoa duen izar multzoa. 13000 argi-urtera dago, Magallaesen Hodi Txikia baino hamabost aldiz gertuago.

The Small Magellanic Cloud (SMC), lies 200,000 light years from us and is an irregular galaxy near the Milky Way with a diameter of about 7,000 light-years wich has a total mass of approximately 7 billion solar masses. The SMC is visible from the Southern Hemisphere, between Tucana and Hydrus constellations, a member of the Local Group, neighbor to Milky Way and probably a satellite of it. The star cluster seeing in the image (47 Tucanae) is the second brightest globular cluster in the sky after Omega Centauri and one of the most massive globular clusters in the Galaxy. Lies 13,000 light years, at about fifteen times closer than the Small magellanic Cloud.
