I usually call myself an amateur astronomer. Being a child, my favorite pasttime was to stare the starry night, just laying flat anyplace at my father's hometown, in Huesca province (Spain).
As time goes by, one meets real amateur astronomers, enjoys all available meteor storms, etc., but mostly due to astronomy discussions with Joana, my partner, this subject is now a bunch more than a piece of general culture for me.
Here we are in the Teide Observatory, in Tenerife, June 2001. Joana is in the lower photos, staring at the camera and wearing a blue shirt.
