Planetary Nebula NGC6804 in Aquila

(RA 19h 31.6m , Dec. +9° 13', 12.0 mag., 66 arcsec. in diameter)


This faint planetary can be found about 5° W of Altair and 2° NNW of m Aquilae (see finder chart below). A bright star-like planetary nebula NGC6803 is located almost 1° further North.

The above image was taken on July 11, 1999 from Sooke, BC. Cookbook 245 LDC camera was used on Celestron Ultima 8 SCT at f6.3. Imaging telescope was autoguided with Cookbook 211 LDC camera attached to 500mm f8 guidescope. White exposures (6 x 240 sec.) exposures were combined with cyan, magenta and yellow-filtered images (3 x 240 sec. each) using AIP4WIN software, then the image was furter adjusted using Lab color space with Corel PhotoPaint 8.
