Planetary Nebula PK36-1.1 in Aquila

(RA 19h 02.0m , Dec. +2° 09', 13.2 mag., >107 arcsec. in diameter)


This "twisted" planetary is located 2°20 SE of q Serpentis (see finder chart below).

The above image was taken on August 25, 2001 from Harrowsmith, Ontario. Cookbook 245 LDC camera was used on Celestron Ultima 8 f6.3 telescope autoguided with Cookbook 211 LDC camera attached to a 500mm f8 guidescope. Ten white exposures (240 sec. each) were combined using AIP4WIN software.

North is to the left.
