The Moon

The full Moon, perhaps one of the most evocative images we are used to since our birth. At the moment of this shot, last December 7 2003, the Moon had a phase of 99%. This shot is the result of a mosaic of 34 single images taken with a inexpensive webcam. Each image is the stack of the sharpest 200 frames from several AVI movies. An emboss filter was than applied to enhance surface details. A larger (2000x2000) version is visible here. |
