The Moon is beautiful at night, but is perfectly visible also during the day. Is best seen at noon when is waxing and at morning when is waning.
When the light from Sun and Moon interacts with ice crystals or water droplets sometimes existing in the atmosphere create a wide range of coloured halos, rings and spots.
The most frequent are the halos around Sun and Moon, uniformly bright and with colours from blue (inner) to red (outer).
In the winter we can observe others, like the 22° halos and the sundogs (iridescent spost left and right of the Sun).
The most beautiful sunsets happen when the sky is cloudy, so we in Friuli are very lucky!
