DECEMBER 2002 |

First images of a very disappointing december month... The average quality of the image nonetheless reveals interesting details : the white spots of the southern temperate region first. The anticycloniques spots A1, A3, A4, and A5 are well visible ; A2 is not identified, wether being too small for the resolution of the image or too close to the cyclonic structure. The last white spot is also a low-pressure system. Note also The dark clouds in STB. The GRS, measured at 82° (syst. II) is very colored. In the northern hemisphere, the part of NEBn preceding barge B4 is now fading, and appears with a ligth brown hue. It is to turn white in the very following weeks, as the rest of the NEBn. But the major event may be the fading of the NTB. The belt is week and orange in tint. This phenomenon would repeat every ten years (last time in 1988-1990).
