Special DSI post processing

The colors of the images captured with a DSI are usually rather slight saturated. It is in fact a deliberated choice because it seems to me ... that thus I obtain the optimum quality of image.

I had the idea of a treatment which can appear "brutal"enough, but from which the components come exclusively from the image of origin. No external contribution...
Complementary tests still have to be carried out to validate the method...

The starting image.

I employ the term of "starting image" instead of "RAW image" because this image is already combined (Registax), starting from 78 uncombined images.

The colors are here, but slight saturated.

The research of the colors

The idea is to bring up the colors, "hyper saturating" the image, before to combine it in "blured LRVB" technic, with the starting image.

... starting image ...

Hyper saturation of the colors...

Gaussian blur (here 4.0)

And final treatment in blured LRGB...

See the chapter describing this technique in the pages "Image processing"...

Sorry it's not translated yet, but basically you stack the blured image with the starting image choosing "Color" as a blending mode.
