Monochrome camera for high resolution astro-imaging

  • Monochrome USB camera without IR cut filter
  • 1/2" CCD, Progressive Scan
  • Resolution 1280 x 960
  • ICX205AL
  • Max. 15 fps
  • 8 bits
  • Pixel size H: 4.65 µm, V: 4.65 µm
The monochrome camera DMK 41 is particularly suited for high resolution astro-imaging. Despite the very high resolution the camera still offers a frame rate of up to 15 frames per second.

The Astro-CCD camera DMK 41 uses the Sony monochrome Progressive Scan CCD ICX205AL. With a diagonal of 1/2" it offers a resolution of 1280 x 960 Pixels. Even at long exposure times the noise level is very low.

The DMK 41 CCD camera uses neither data compression nor an IR cut filter, colour filter or any kind of electronical filtering. This allows for maximum sensitivity.

The astronomical camera DMK 41 produces non-compressed monochromatic frames at a very high rate.
