Particulars:
General:
An extremly faint constellation of the northern hemisphere. Lynx
was given its name by the Polish Astronomer Johannes Hevelius
because only a person with "lynx eyes" would be able to
detect this constellation. Until nowadays there have been several
changes to the constellation boundaries so that the stellar
nomenclature is somewhat confusing. The star 10 UMa, for
example, lies in this constellation whereas 41 Lyn is part
of Ursa Major.
Lynx streches from RA=6h 20m to RA=9h 30m and between
DECL=34 degrees and DECL=62 degrees, separating Auriga (west)
from Ursa Major (east).
