Maksutov telescopes
Maksutov-Gregory 90 mm f/2.7- f/15.7
The OSLO model is taken from DESIGN OF THE MAKSUTOV-CASSEGRAIN by Dick Suiter, Dec 2017:
The telescope is difraction-limited on the optical axis from 380 nm.
The radius of the diffraction-limited flat field is 0.23° at 550 nm:
Maksutov-Gregory 150 mm f/2.5- f/15
This is the f/15 version originaly designed by John F. Gregory (Sky and Telescope, 1957). For the record, he also designed a f/23 version.
This version is diffraction limited on the axis from about 450 nm, but the Strehl ratio does go much beyond beyond 0.9.
Maksutov-Gregory 200 mm f/2.7- f/15
The OLSO model is from G.H. Smith, R.
Ceragioli, and R. Berry, Telescopes, Eyepieces, and Astrographs:
Design, Analysis, and Performance of Modern Astronomical Optics,
Willmann-Bell, 2012
Because of the larger aperture, the
telescope is now difraction-limited on the optical axis only from
480 nm. The radius of the diffraction-limited flat field is 0.09°
at 550 nm:
Maksutov-Rumak 200 mm f/3 - f/10
The Rumak vastly outperforms the
Mak-Gregory.It is diffraction-limited even in near UV. The radius of
the diffraction-limited flat field is 0.28° at 550 nm larger than
the radius of the solar disk):
