SHACK HARTMANN wavefront sensor (page 3)

This a complete shack Hartmann mechanical setup, including the head and the collimator. All the parts are machined accurately (1/100 mm accuracy), especially the distance between the detector and the microlens array is critical for absolute measurements.

The collimator has :

- a 5mm to 40 mm interchangeable diffraction limited lens, in this case a 15 mm has been installed
- pinholes can be also inserted from a calibration pinhole (5-10 µm) to field diaphragm (300 - 600µm)

The head includes :

- An array of microlenses, in this case a 150µm pitch and 10 mm focal length.
- A detector, here a 640x480 pixels (5.6µm square pixels) detector, that can be read up to 30 frames per second

The head and the collimator can be splitted (un-screwed), this part has a 31.75 mm or a 50.8 mm diameter.

The collimator, front side, three screws can be un-screwed by the user to change the pinhole and the collimator lens.

Once the three screws are removed, the 31.75mm adaptor is removed, the adaptor clamps the pinhole and the collimator lens.

The whole inner parts are taken out, showing spacers, a 5 µm pihoile for calibration and the collimato lens.

The head alone, the 6mm hole in the center goes to the microlens array.

Pinhole (for instance a 300µm), that can be inserted inside the collimator.
