Amateur astronomers currently produce stunning astronomical images of the Sun, Moon, planets, star clusters and galaxies. These beautiful images reveal unknown aspects of the universe. The Taguspark, SA, in partnership with the Portuguese Association of Amateur Astronomers (APAA) and the Interactive Nucleus of Astronomy (NUCLIO), presents an exhibition based on selected digital images, taken by Portuguese amateur astronomers - The sky pixels. The universe seen by Portuguese astrophotographers. Images of the solar system, eclipses and the deep-sky can be seen in this exhibition. The exhibition also includes a journey through the history of astrophotography, the technical characteristics of different types of telescopes and observatories and aspects of light pollution in Portugal. The exhibition consists mostly of images taken by Portuguese amateur astronomers, such as Pedro Ré, António Peres Gomes, Miguel Claro, José Carlos Diniz and Paulo Casquinha, using sophisticated setups, or means within the reach of any photographer. After seeing the exhibition, remember, the next time you enjoy a starry sky, feel proud of all the mysteries that mankind, without leaving the earth, was able to unravel. Exposição | O CÉU EM PIXÉIS. Modernamente, com meios digitais relativamente modestos, os astrónomos amadores produzem imagens extraordinárias, onde se vêm planetas, enxames de estrelas e galáxias com um pormenor anteriormente impensável. São imagens belíssimas, que revelam aspectos desconhecidos do firmamento. A Taguspark, SA, em parceria com a Associação Portuguesa de Astrónomos Amadores (APAA) e o Núcleo Interactivo de Astronomia (NUCLIO), apresenta uma exposição baseada em imagens digitais seleccionadas, obtidas por astrónomos amadores portugueses - O céu em píxeis. O universo visto pela câmara de portugueses. Imagens do nosso sistema solar, da cor das estrelas, dos eclipses e do céu profundo poderão ser vistas nesta exposição. Mas também poderá ser feito um percurso pela história da astrofotografia, ou mesmo conhecer melhor as características técnicas dos diferentes tipos de telescópios, os exemplos dos observatórios de astrónomos amadores existentes em Portugal e as consequências da poluição luminosa, quer em termos ambientais e sociais, quer na observação do próprio céu. A exposição é essencialmente composta por imagens obtidas por astrónomos amadores portugueses, tais como Pedro Ré, António Peres Gomes, Miguel Claro, José Carlos Diniz e Paulo Casquinha, algumas recorrendo a meios sofisticados, outras através de meios ao alcance de qualquer entusiasta. Uma exposição a não perder. Para jovens e adultos. Depois de a ver lembre-se: da próxima vez que apreciar um céu estrelado sinta-se orgulhoso por todos os mistérios que a humanidade, sem sair da Terra, já conseguiu desvendar. Alguns deles por astrónomos amadores portugueses.
